چکیده
Background/Aim. C-shaped canals are a complex morphological variation of the tooth root canal system that, if present, could greatly affect outcome endodontic therapy. The prevalence these configurations varies between populations different ethnic and geographical origins. Therefore, goal this study was to analyze morphology mandibular second molar in population Central Serbia. Methods. included total 1 99 molars receiving cone-beam computed tomography (CBCT) examination determining presence systems, their configuration, minimal wall thickness its relative position on axial cross-sections at coronal, middle, apical level. Results. 5.53%. C1 configuration most frequent coronal cross-section, while C2 middle cross-sections. Minimal decreased going apically, with mean value 1.01 mm 0.87 0 .67 mostly directed lingually all cross-sectional levels. Conclusion. should be expected CBCT shown valuable technique determine facilitate understanding morphology; implementation improve success therapy, especially is present.
